8:00am- Morning Stroll at Addenbrooke Park!

An early morning walk/jog in the fresh air amidst nature at the Addenbrooke Park is your first activity of the 24 hours in Lakewood. It is a serene and calm introduction to Lakewood. The Addenbrooke Park encompasses several acres of land with wide range of facilities. 10:00am- Delve deep into the Lakewood past at Lakewood Heritage Center!

After you’ve fueled up, head to the Lakewood Heritage Center that features the history of Lakewood, Colorado and the Jefferson County through engaging exhibits and thousands of artifacts. It also houses ten historic structures, 3000 historical photos and an outdoor amphitheatre.  Many nationally and internationally recognized artists showcase their talent at the center. Highlights include 1870s farmhouse, 1920s one-room school, and artifacts on military life, business and technology, lifestyle, culture and personal items. The center also hosts the popular annual Cider Days Harvest Festival. A perfect place to catch a glimpse of the nineteenth and twentieth century lifestyles, changes, innovations and developments in Lakewood.

11:00am- Immerse in local art and culture at Lakewood Cultural Center!

If local art and culture fascinates you, Lakewood Culture Center is the place for you. The Lakewood Cultural Center spanning about 38,000 square foot space features, an auditorium that can accommodate 320 people, gallery spaces, a lobby space, a community and art classrooms. You catch a great performance of theatre, dance, films and music at the auditorium and browse through the wide variety of art exhibitions that depict the art and culture of the area at the gallery spaces housed in the center.

12:00pm- Relax in the lap of nature at William Frederick Hayden Park!

Next, head to the William Frederick Hayden Green Mountain Park that covers approximately 2400 acres of open spaces and offer a range of outdoor recreational opportunities for all ages. It is a recreational place that engages the natives and transplants alike in some outdoor activities. You can hike up the mountain that is approx 6,800 feet in elevation and catch the mesmerizing vistas of the neighboring communities. Go hiking, biking, walking and running. Wildlife viewing, beautiful sunrise and sunset viewing and relaxing outdoor activities are also available to keep you occupied for hours. Rattlesnakes, coyotes, rabbit, hawks, mule deer, mountain lion and bluebirds are amongst the animals housed here.

1:00pm- Lunch!

2:00pm- Stroll the afternoon away at Bear Creek Lake Regional Park!

After you’ve fueled up, go for an afternoon stroll at the Bear Creek Lake Regional Park. This park is home to a wide variety of wildlife and includes about 15 miles of hiking and biking trails, three lakes, horseback riding trails, area for camping and cycling, picnic areas and an archery range. Bask in the beauty of lake, and relax amidst nature. Participate in the outdoor activities like fishing, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, biking, picnicking, and also paddling a boat across the scenic and tranquil lake. Your mind, body and soul will be filled with tranquility after ambling in this park.

3:00pm-Get artsy at 40 West Arts District!

Inclined towards art? Then head to the 40 West Arts District that is teeming with the works by regional and local artists. This district is dotted with art galleries, public art installations and performing arts venues. More than 120 creative enterprises call 40 West Arts District home. It features paintings, sculptures, metal and wood works, photography and other artworks. Regional and local actors, musicians, painters, woodworkers, sculptors, metalworkers, glassblowers and several other artists showcase their talent/works of art at this place.

Start your shopping excursion at the Belmar that features more than 80 shops, entertainment and dining venues. The shops housed here provide plethora of eye candy.
